Rejection Playlist Volume 1, Track 6: “Hold On”

Last week I might have been “So Jealous,” but this week I’ve managed to “Hold On,” in light of some rather disappointing news.

This video by new(ish)comers Alabama Shakes is both catchy and uplifting for those days when you don’t think you can manage anymore- those days you want to throw in the towel and give up on your craft because it seems like no one understands you. You think maybe your time might be better spent working toward a more practical goal. But this isn’t about being practical, it’s about following your heart and doing what you love. Basically, you just have to hold on.
