Hi friends!
It’s been a minute since I last checked in. Life happened between then and now (as it always does), and writing took a backseat as I navigated buying a new home, starting a new job, an ADHD diagnosis (for both BB and me), and raising a very curious kid. I started doing stand-up comedy. Did a lot of travel (including new baseball ballparks this summer). I fell in love with someone rad. I also recently got to talk to a creative writing class at a nearby high school which rekindled some of that passion that has been missing from my writing.
I’ve been writing more nonfiction and thinking critically about the stories I want to tell about my life, both as a teen and an adult. Stand-up comedy has been great for that. I’ve also been slowing working on the new short story collection I teased last year. It’ll be published sometime in early 2023. I’m still finishing a few stories, but this collection of short stories spans my time as a short fiction writer. There’s some early stories, favorites from a few years ago, and of course, new ones I can’t wait for you to see.
